PROJECT OVERVIEW
Norwich Lions Club is one of the longest-serving community organizations in Southeastern Connecticut and is proudly affiliated with Lions Clubs International, one of the world's largest service organizations. For decades, the organization has supported countless community initiatives, charitable programs, healthcare causes, educational projects, and local fundraising efforts that positively impact the lives of individuals and families throughout the region. The objective of this project was to create a modern digital platform that would effectively communicate the organization's mission, showcase its community impact, highlight ongoing initiatives, and make it easier for supporters to engage with the club. The website was designed to serve as a central hub for members, donors, and community members interested in learning more about the organization's work and contribution to the local community.
DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT APPROACH
The project began with a complete UI/UX design process in Figma, where the website structure, content hierarchy, and user journey were carefully planned before development. The approved designs were then fully developed in WordPress using Elementor, creating a modern and professional experience that reflects the organization's reputation and long-standing commitment to service.
Dedicated pages were created to showcase the club's mission, community projects, fundraising campaigns, donation initiatives, organizational history, and contact information. A secure PayPal donation system was integrated directly into the website, allowing supporters to contribute easily to the organization's ongoing charitable efforts. The website was fully optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to ensure accessibility and usability across all screen sizes.
RESULTS & IMPACT
The completed website provided Norwich Lions Club with a professional online presence that effectively highlights its history, mission, and community impact. Visitors can now easily explore the organization's initiatives, learn about ongoing projects, stay informed about fundraising campaigns, and contribute directly through online donations. By combining modern design, responsive development, and integrated donation functionality, the platform serves as both an informational resource and a fundraising tool. The result is a scalable digital presence that strengthens community engagement, increases awareness of the organization's charitable work, and supports its continued mission of serving local communities throughout Southeastern Connecticut.
